Yeah I had vaguely heard of Two Door Cinema Club as they were one of the myriad of post-punk revival bands (Interpol, Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party, Killers, etc.) but then I saw that they were a somewhat respected "general indie" band and I thought, what the hell, I will get something by them and see what I think and man I really liked the album I got. I have become a fan!
Firing up some classic slowcore today.... Red House Painters - Red House Painters/Rollercoaster Album American Music Club - San Francisco
Funny, that's exactly how I mental-picture @ima_drummer2k every time he talks about one of his wedding gigs
Pretty sure I like Willie's version better, but I'm a sucker for just about any cover he does (and he's only done a couple of hundred of 'em)
When my son started touring the club usually gave the band X amount of bar credit for booze and food. My son was to young to consume and hates the taste of beer. So while the band drank, he took his porta-bong out back or wherever and got his head right. Then he would come back in and destroy the dinner menu. He said weed never effected his playing, but two beers and he could count the CLAMS.
