    @Mango

    Sid vicious' version is brash and vulgar as hell, it always made me laugh. Classic tune though.

    The Cure - Songs Of A Lost World
    Liam Gallagher & John Squire - Liam Gallagher & John Squire

    So I got both of these 2024 albums today and I’m going through 2nd listens…The Cure album is unbelievably good, especially after not releasing an album for 16 years. Bob Smith knows that true Cure fans love the slow, atmospheric and gloomy songs. We know he can write pop songs but we don’t want him to do that exclusively which is what he has been doing. Disintegration is still their best studio album but my goodness, this new album is in their top 5 of best albums and my favorite album of 2024.

    The collaboration between former Oasis frontman (Liam Gallagher) and former Stone Roses guitarist (John Squire) is a wet dream for Brit Pop fans. They are both in fine form and we can only hope that they do a couple of more albums together.

    The Cure album beats out Gallagher & Squire simply because NO ONE was expecting it to be anything, let alone as good as it is! The collaboration is great as Gallagher and Squire show they still have it, but I would venture that most people expected a solid album from them which isn’t something you can say about the Cure.

    You can ask me every day and I’ll probably have a different answer. Is Raw Power or Funhouse the better record? Luckily they both exist and continue to hit like a freight train.

    I prefer Funhouse but Raw Power is amazing in its own right.

    More important question: Which Raw Power? Bowie Mix or Iggy Mix?

    The answer is that there is no right answer. I guess the Bowie version for me…
