Have to admit… Im kind of a music snob who would never admit he likes anything pop but… the latest Billie Eillish is pretty freaking good. Back in my college years i loved Massive Attack, Portishead, etc. and I gotta say this album is very much in the same vibe as those trip hop artists form back in the day. Especially if you liked that first Goldfrapp album this is right there but with modern flare. I wonder if Billie Eillish even knows these influences or if she just has producers that are dudes my age that pull from those albums…
Recently my addiction to this track resurfaced. "There was a band playin' in my head And I felt like getting high I was thinkin' about what a friend had said I was hopin' it was a lie"
Primal Scream - Come Ahead Happy Mondays - Uncle Dysfunktional I have listened to the PS album twice now and like most of the Scream albums, it definitely has its moments. I don’t know if it is really going to hold up on future listens, but it is great to have a new album by them.
Unfortunately no, but I still have it on Blue Ray...lol These West 54th Sessions are a treasure trove.
Is the BR the same? They added a whole bunch of stuff that I'd never seen before. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stop_Making_Sense#2023_re-release
No idea. I even looked for it but can't put my hands on it. It may be boxed somewhere in the house...
