By mixing different types of Music in the same post, it becomes difficult to determine why Likes were given by others. It is also possible that Likes weren't given because people was good with one type of Music, but didn't care for the other and thus decided to scroll on by rather than give a Like. A few days ago, I took a chance with some Old School Funk along with Tom Tom Club. Instead of lumping everything together, I split the links across several posts. Tom Tom Club and Grandmaster Flash received Likes while the rest got nothing. If I decide to post something similar in the future, I have a good idea what works here and what doesn't. If I had put everything in one post and received Likes, I might have gotten the wrong impression that everything was Liked when it wasn't. It is also possible that people would have scrolled by rather than give a Like because some of the Music didn't impress, so the entire post was penalized. There is some Music that I listen to on Youtube that I know isn't going to be very popular here. So I rarely post it or don't post it at all.
I'll consider breaking some of these different genre songs into separate posts now that you mention it. I just take the title thread very literally and just post what I am currently listening to, whether it be on Youtube or elsewhere. That being said, I do omit stuff I think you guys wouldn't be into, as well as try and broaden yall's musical horizons, so to speak. I also "waste" a lot of time listening to stuff I'm not as familiar with from all of you. Here's something I was listening to the other day that I thought wouldn't get much traction but who knows.
