massive attack is amazing live - i went to austin city limits festival everyday for the first 7 years and their set might be the best i saw there. they even had liz frazier from cocteau twins w/ them, which was surprising.

    my 2010 faves...

WATAIN at emos - mid nov - satanic black metal - probably the most evil band ive ever seen live - they had a satanic altar set up onstage w/ giant horns, a bunch of candles and about a dozen decaying goat heads on stakes - the whole room stunk like rotting animal carcasses - and the band rocked most evily - it was pretty b****in' and gets my vote for show of the year!

weird al yankovic - funfunfun fest - early nov - i figured he put on a good show, but damn, he blew away every other band at the festival and it wasnt even close. he is truly a master showman - pure entertainment...i will go see him anytime.

There is an insufficient amount of heavy metal in this thread.

    - Rust in Peace 20th Anniversary Tour: Testament and Megadeth in Lubbock.

    - Iron Maiden at the Woodlands.

    - American Carnage Tour 2010: Anthrax, Megadeth, and Slayer at Verizon. I came out sore, bruised, and all kinds of beat up. A girl with us got a bloody nose and a fat lip. Best. Show. Ever.

I attended a lot this year, but having such great tickets to Muse, I was just wowed. Been a fan since they first recorded, and now seeing them finally get recognition for their work in the states in awesome!

Deer Tick in Austin was also another fav.
