Someone should tell him no one cares to see them having fun. They aren't these cool famous people that we are getting to see "behind-the-scenes." They're untalented nobodies...

I don't need to see someone's version of "fun" when all I'm trying to do is get injury updates.

 

So, McClain is essentially admitting that this Anna Megan bimbo has no talent and he just has her around to satisfy him sexually?? Okay, never thought he would come out and admit it that directly but more props to him for doing so, I guess.

 

That's just McClain trying to save face. He probably thought everyone would LOVE getting a 'behind the scenes look' at The Great John McClain and his bimbo protege, when actually no one cares. If you can't take the criticism, don't post it on the internet. Duh!

I don't know why, but this whole McClain/Anna Meagan thing just really tightens my jaws. I've never been a big fan of McClain because he's a legend in his own mind. He used to write decent articles, but it's to the point now that he honestly thinks he's more important than the players/coaches he writes about.

Uh...John....we don't care that you covered this team and you covered that team and you were in this movie and you're going to be in that movie, blah blah blah....just hush up and tell us what's going on in the NFL.

He represents everything that is wrong with the media today.

 

I had to watch this again to make sure it wasn't as bad as I thought it was the first time I watched it. Well, it was, actually it gets worse after repeated viewings. Especially bad was the scene where that one chick (is it Sarah or Anna Megan) pretends to be "reeling in" the other chick. How r****ded are these people??

 

His transition to Hollywood Johnnie has been sad to watch. He was a damn good NFL beat writer for a long time.

These videos are the biggest pieces of crap I've ever seen. No wonder everyone makes fun of our city. I'm ashamed that the chronicle is my hometown newspaper.

 

The video aside, Anna Megan is a really sweet girl. When she and McClain are interacting they look more like family than some of the things I've seen suggested here. McClain really goes out of his way to put people together and has a real desire to help.

I have no problem with McLain or Anna Megan, personally. I just think that a major newspaper has no business doing stuff like this. There is plenty of editorial control when it comes to the stories, why not the videos? Couldn't someone put the brakes on this before it makes it to the public? Nevermind that people are being PAID to do this!

My father and much of his family were/are in the journalism business as is my mom's cousin, who was a CNN reporter for years before taking a job in LA. Growing up, I always believed that good journalism is about getting facts, telling stories and helping us all to see what's important. I realize that news has gone down the tubes because of the massive competition in the marketplace and brainless public lapping up the worst "news" thrown at them.

But, even tabloid press pretends to take itself seriously. At some point, someone has to draw a line and say, "You know, as sweet as Anna Megan is and as long a tenure as John McLain has had, this kinda thing has got to end." I would like to believe that a video as horrific as this and the mini skits they put on regularly that are not only unfunny, but only about 1 step removed from a third grade winter play, would be enough for the powers that be at the Chron to end the nonsense.

I'd like to believe that, but I just don't.

 

I gave myself the opportunity to fix yer post and to say that I hate McClain with a passion that is unheard of in the cosmos. That dude shouldn't come out on Radio shows or TV or any type of audiovisual equipment and stay writing. I hate John McDumb 'cuz of reasons I can explain if anyone cares to listen. Did I mention I hate John "the generalized" McClain?

 

The first 1:00 of that was awful. Does it get better from there?

 

When John McClain sticks to talking and writing about the NFL, he's OK. But obviously he has an inflated opinion of himself and thinks he's somewhat of a local celebrity. My respect for him has fallen off the scale. Too bad he doesn't realize his best days are behind him. His written coverage of the Oilers was very good back in the day. But he's cruising on reputation now and having fun at the expense of being taken seriously.

AB, appreciate your comments and don't doubt them at all. But they should get a clue about how this nonsense (their show, not just the video) comes across to some. You have an inside view but for most of us, Anna Megan is a complete joke and cannot be taken seriously. In the future, people will look back at her tenure on AM610 and joke about it.

 

Someone please put Anna Megan out of her misery . That video of her doing Mike Gundy is HORRIBLE !! The chick isn't all that great looking to begin with . It embarrassed me just watching it . McClain and Anna Megan need to try and do something else , acting/singing definitely is not their thing . McClain makes me turn the station every time hes on , his voice is annoying . I cant stand the guy .
