Stupid fans. She looks so much more amazing when she was "thick". Now she is just too damn skinny. I'd still hit it..........three times!
Classy lady!! Concern grows for Amy Winehouse after she 'spits at fans' by DONNA McCONNELL - More by this author » Last updated at 14:07pm on 19th July 2007 Concern is growing for Amy Winehouse following a shambolic performance during which fans walked out of her concert after she appeared to spit at them. The singer performed at the Eden Project on Tuesday night, following two weeks of cancelled gigs, but fans who saw her performance have joined the growing chorus of people begging the singer to get help. Reports say Amy appeared to be in tears while onstage, hitting herself on the head with a microphone in frustration when she forgot the words to her songs, and a fan said she finished by spitting into the crowd. The shambling performance ended when she stormed offstage during her last song – a cover of Valerie by The Zutons. Melinda Trevaskis, 26, from St Austell, said: "The gig became absolutely awful. Members of her entourage were coming on to the stage, obviously worried she couldn't go on, and she would just shout "f*** off" at them. Everyone in the crowd just felt sorry for her." Fans said Amy was 'acting weird', others said the singer looked 'worryingly skinny', and concerns for her health are growing following her increasingly erratic behaviour - which many are comparing to that of drug addict rocker Pete Doherty. The bizarre behaviour came on the day that the talented singer, whose album made the Top 10 of the US Billboard Album Charts, and has won 4 Brit Awards, was nominated for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize. Amy will go head to head with artists the Artic Monkeys and Dizzee Rascal. But Amy's spokesman downplayed the incident. He told The Mirror: "Amy was annoyed with herself. "She is a bit ring rusty after not having played for a while and was upset after making a few mistakes in the set." At one point during the show, the distressed singer wandered over to the side of the stage for an emotional exchange with husband Blake Fielder-Civil who was waiting in the wings. Fan Steve Barrett told The Mirror: "She seemed to wipe away tears on two occasions and by the end she looked a very distressed lady." Hopes were not high that she would appear after the singer cancelled scheduled appearances at last weekend's T In The Park and Oxegen festivals, and was photographed drinking in her local pub despite citing "exhaustion" as the reason for her cancellation. But the 23-year-old made the five-hour journey to St Austell, and took to the stage in a red vest, her favourite denim hotpants and trademark battered ballet pumps. Yesterday Amy arrived in Liverpool for a rescheduled concert. Her gig rider included an order for two bottles of champagne, two bottles of Jack Daniels and two bottles of red wine. Amy has blamed her constant touring for her health worries, but it seems more likely that it's the result of her hard-partying lifestyle. Whatever the cause, a worryingly thin Amy could do some time off to get herself together. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/li...ews.html?in_article_id=469184&in_page_id=1773
Amen. I'm not a die hard Rae fan but her performance with John Mayer and John Legend at the Grammys was amazing. Rehab ft. Jay-Z though is hot. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/c1GMOvi39Y4"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/c1GMOvi39Y4" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> some guy remixed the video himself, so the jay-z verse is kind of off, but its still kinda tite.
I love the rehab song and video - and she actually looks kind of interesting in a smoky kind of way in that video. The song and video above? Mediocre on both counts. She does have a horsey face - would not hit it in any normal situation.
I like her. She's old school R&B, which is why it doesn't sound like anything on the radio. It's actually good.
Cursing at, spitting on, and threatening fans at a show is no big deal. It's been going on forever. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/CFUpl1NrHrE"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/CFUpl1NrHrE" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
The following spoiler contains my negative opinion of Amy Winehouse. If you do not wish to read a negative opinion of her, do not click the spoiler. Spoiler What .... the hell... is that? That has got to be the ugliest, least talented, piece-o-crap singer I've ever seen. Even her many layers of makeup cannot conceal her repulsive teeth, horrible overbite, and vulture-beak nose. The tattoos, crack-w**** body, and f'ed up hair just complete her turd ensemble. And now, let's talk about her "music". LegendZ3 was correct in that she sounds like Janice from Friends. I hear nothing good in her music. I tell ya, I could take a piece of poop out of my toilet bowl, put it in front of a microphone, call it a "diva" and people (including some people who've posted here) would buy tickets, t-shirts, and CD's of the poop. At least it would perform better than Amy Winehouse and I'd be making money off of it. It just goes to show you that any piece of crap in the world can become a pop star. People will buy anything.
I honestly had a nightmare with her teeth it in last night after seeing this thread, it was terrible and felt very real.
This BBS never ceases to amaze me. There are times when the standards are so ridiculously high on some women that it makes you want to punch your computer screen. But I can honestly say that is NOT the case with Amy Winehouse. "Hitting it" with a woman missing several teeth is not something I would find myself looking forward to, but more power to those of you (and desperate enough) that would look forward to it.
Man my standards aren't high but she looks fugly on both photos and actually looks like a drag queen!!! She's woman who looks like a drag queen bwhahhah P.S. I'm sorry if I offended anybody who into that sorta thing
I watched the embedded video with my wife last night. First words out of her mouth were, "That's not a woman. That's a transsexual." She was serious. As for Amy's music (IMHO), some of it is catchy, but in a weird, unprofessional manner. The two videos I watched are like watching a train wreck......you struggle to take your eyes off of them, so you pay attention. Maybe that's why I found it a bit catchy. So.....I guess my strongest opinion is that her popularity is due in large part to the fact that her appearance and sound are ANYTHING but polished...........in stark contrast to the canned, artificially produced pop stars that we see and hear most of the time.
It sounds more to me like she is unoriginally ripping off old Motown without any particular originality to me. Even her vocal style sounds like she's trying to sound like Martha Reeves or Freda Payne. examples: Freda Payne - Band of Gold <EMBED src="http://www.gunsofaugust.net/motown/1.mp3" autostart=false loop=false volume=100> Martha and the Vandellas - Nowhere to Run <EMBED src="http://www.gunsofaugust.net/motown/2.mp3" autostart=false loop=false volume=100> The Ronettes - Be My Baby <EMBED src="http://www.gunsofaugust.net/motown/3.mp3" autostart=false loop=false volume=100> The Marvelettes - Too Many Fish In the Sea <EMBED src="http://www.gunsofaugust.net/motown/4.mp3" autostart=false loop=false volume=100> The originals are much better in all respects.
Forget Winehouse, it's all about Tay Zonday. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/EwTZ2xpQwpA"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/EwTZ2xpQwpA" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
