[Music] Thoughts on Bon Jovi?

Never was a fan. But then I've never cared for "The Boss" much either. I liked the "Dead or Alive" stuff better than I liked "Runaway" mainly because I was not enticed by metal / hard rock going spandex and hairspray at the time. At least Bruce had some saxophone in there. I hear seeing him/them live changes your opinion of him/them, but I always heard that about Jimmy Buffet, too, and it wasn't true, at least not for me.

I never thought much of Sambora being a great guitarist or anything, but i did like their harmony on Dead or alive, and didn't mind that acoustic bit either. He play ok.

Overall, I never really got over them being hairspray and spandex, mainly because the music didn't warrant (no pun intended) further consideration.
