This album should cement them as the best American rock band working today. Not as folky as Get Behind Me Satan and with a more blues/rock slant than Elephant. Definite throw back to old school rock. Bagpipes and horns. wow!

already have it.... it is great. best band of my generation, hands down. oh yeah, the new beastie boys is really good as well... been a great couple of days for new music.
hmm...i doubt the white stripes are the best band of this generation... Go pick up a libertines album.
I'll take Tool over White Stripes any day of the week. By the way I'm not a white stripes hater I have actually seen them live. Just saying Tool is amazing.
me to... i have seen the white stripes live twice and i like them a LOT. but as far as best and most consistent band of my generation i would go with tool. although i havent listened to there last album that came out at all.

I find Meg ridiculously hot. Of the two-member bands with no bassist ( ), I prefer the Dresden Dolls myself.
I read an interesting article on them in Entertainment Weekly. It sounds like he's pretty controlling and really into the black, white and red color scheme.
The White Stripes are great. They're definitely one of the best bands to release records since 1999. I can't say enough about how badass Jack White is on guitar. Musicians like him are really missed in today's music world. I didn't know their next CD was coming out so soon; now I can't wait.
Never really been a fan, but I went and downloaded the album at Oink just to check 'em out, and all's I can say is...this album rocks. Great all the way through.
They definately came back hard after 'Get Behind Me'. I thought that album was rather meh, but this one rocks.
