I love a lot of what you had to say. First of all sorry you put yourself in the group I was speaking of. But I don't understand, how you are sympathetic with my "beef" when you openly support artists (jay and kanye) who are responsible for a bulk of the radio's profits. If you really understood, you would realize why i think boycotting the radio's artists is essential in increasing the quality of music in the mainstream. And Jay Z and Kanye feed the fire so much, I'm afraid hip hop will be engulfed.

Just one question, why is it so important to you that need to increase the quality of main stream music?? Who cares if they're fooled, if you get access to the music that makes you happy, shouldn't that be enough?

But I don't even think those two get as much radio play as you think when compared to a Lil Wayne or Drake or worse acts like Big Sean.
Then again, I haven't listened to the radio for more than 5 seconds in a couple of years. I may be wrong.

At least this discussion didn't turn into an argument on devil worship and rappers believing they are above religion like some idiot on fb who has been going at it all morning. I can actually understand where ketchupNmustard is coming from but I do also agree with ferrari77 that Jay and Ye don't get nearly as much play time as Young Money.

I guess Im just a real dude? If anyone here has any musical education, you would see why the quality of music is important. I'm just an amateur musician and have only made the tiniest of contributions to music as a whole, but still contributing. I think it's important for music lovers of the future to have good influence.

I love finding new, intriguing, talented artists, what if one day, due to the crap that we are saturated with, there is no more good music? What then?

Music is subjective. What's quality to you is crap to others and vice versa. There are so many outlets these days that if you want to listen to some obscure street musician from Bhurma you can probably find it. The only difference is that these other artists are making boatloads of money while Yung Bhurma G Unit isn't. Every generation says that the newer generation's music is crap and that it'll all just get crappier. Music is just changing and there's nothing wrong with change. Its just different. I know of some people who love obscure indie bands and once that band becomes mainstream they automatically write them off as selling out. Sometimes its true, but a lot of times its just people placing higher value on something that they feel is more special because only they know of it.
