Just read Pitchfork and see who they give “best new music” to. Unless you are deep into the indie scene, you aren’t going to know anybody good out there that is new. Artists that have won The Voice or American Idol don’t count, but those are the types of artists that are peddled to the general public. It’s too bad that a show like 120 minutes isn’t around anymore- they use to showcase all the up and coming alternative British artists but that was back when MTV actually cared about showing music videos.
