It could be. Both videos had similar looks to them.

anyone from the '80s would remember these....Aldo Nova, The Fixx and Gary Neuman's song "Cars". They have an 80's radio show on Sunday mornings here in Charlotte, and I listen to it just to see if any of these get played....how sad is that?

Yeah, but I think he was referring to:

The Fixx - "One thing leads to another"
    and
    Aldo Nova - "Fantasy"

Sorry man, there's nothing wrong with Jewel. She can sing. You need to go gutter with your listening tastes to compete with some of the "artists" being thrown around in this thread... :D

Another one I don't get. Joni Mitchell is great. She's got one of the greatest voices ever. I bought a DVD-A of her singing some great jazz songs. Wow. I appreciate her singing more than I do something like Led Zeppelin. (Is this where I should duck and run?)

and we're all going off the deep end.

(great response, by the way!!! still doesn't top your, "i appreciate his commitment to having no boundaries and never compromising"...but it was very good.)

Hey, I'm a blind squirrel who just happened to find an acorn this morning. If we stacked the %s of good responses out of our 20k+ posts, you'd be the winner hands down. :D

I'm just glad I didn't explain how when my fiancee's not in the mood, I throw on my red leather pants, stand with my back to her, and put two fingers up next to my leather-clad ass.

    oops.

    :D

You'll be more surprised when you find out it's Loverboy, not Tommy Tutone. :D

Haha, thanks. That commercial just adds laughs to anything we're doing whenever we're watching it.

I do commend Toby Keith for being the first gay country music superstar, though. Besides Jim Nabors.

Actually, right before I posted I went, "wait... it could be Loverboy, or Dire Straits".

I stuck with my first-gut impression.

Also, 106.9 is currently doing a contest where they put little snippets of 7 songs and pay you around 4 grand to figure them out.

I can always get 4-5 of their songs on the first listen. I need to know where I can listen to it long enough to put it on paper.

all of these are in my collection. I used to work for the company that did distribution for BMG so we could get CD's for $2.50. I have a big collection of bad music. I also have a large collection of 80's rock bands (Kiss, Journey Foreigner, Styx etc.....) that I hardly ever play but I bought them because I liked them 20 yrs ago.

The weirdest one that I actually play is probably Burl Ives greatest hits. I love Big Rock Candy Mountain and A litty bitty tear.

I just realized how many 80's groups most people would be embarrassed to listen to today, but how many of them I still like :

    Kajagoogoo (1 hit wonder)
    Aha (Take on me...)
    Thompson Twins
    Erasure
Pet Shop Boys (One of my favorites of all time)
    Stevie B
Wham! (George Michael has talent - no really... i meant singing talent)
Culture Club (great group that I didn't like growing up)
