    Erasure rocks.

I am right there with Codell on Neil Diamond.

    I liked Wham.

I feel moe on Ace of Base.

I can relate to Harrisment on Kelly Clarkson (Stuff Like That There blew my doors off).

So, using codell's poker analogy, I see all of these and raise Soft Cell, Men at Work, The Kingston Trio  , and the New Christy Minstrels.

Man, I'm gonna get killed for some of this, but here goes:

    Culture Club.

Don't know particularly what. While my aunt Barbara would reach to change the station, singing along in her own words, "Yes, I really want to hurt you/Yes I really want to make you cry," I always liked them. Back in the day. "Karma Chameleon," "Miss Me Blind," hey, they were good.

Although Boy George did get torpedoed when paired with Stevie Wonder on a duet at some music special, back in the mid-80's. Boy just disappeared.

Actually, I'm a little more ashamed of Wham! I even went to see one of their g.d. concerts. George Michael's talented, but I don't think the Wham! songs stand the test of time. And, too, once he came out, then got all serious on us, and didn't gender-neutral his music, everyone forgot about him.

Hmn. Quiet Riot. I'm sorry, but they just sucked. "c*m On Feel the Noize." Ugh.

Um, any rock band with too much mousse and hair spray. Ratt was OK, and I never, ever, EVER could abide Poison; but you know, the 80's "rock" bands with the idea that your hair had to be seen from the last row.

    Paula Abdul. Ugh. BLARF.

And the worst: Yes, I was one of the many dumbasses who liked Milli Vanilli. It was catchy, what can I say? LIKE THE FLU. Then there was that great skit on "In Living Color": "Remember, it takes two jerks to make Milli Vanilli." Then the tragedy occurred later, and I couldn't even laugh at that anymore.

Some stuff, though, will always rock. The Police. AC/DC. Journey. Van Halen. Stevie Wonder. Elton John. Etc.

My parents had several of the NCM albums and I would play them over and over again.

Growing up, I was limited to what my mom had in her record collection which was Barry Manilow, Anne Murray, John Denver and Broadway show tunes. Amazingly, I still turned out to be heterosexual.

My wife's unmedicated schizophrenic uncle thinks the NCM are the best band ever. He'll play them for us over the phone - which is a unique experience to say the least.

He sent us a few of their albums, and just recently a limeliters collection. I can't say I liked the music all that much, but it was interesting.

I was more surprised to hear that anyone else knew about them - I assumed they were rather obscure.

Is there any shame in liking Gwen Stafani's last 2 hits?

    Rich Girl and Hollaback Girl?

I liked the Morrisey song English Heart Irish Blood or something close to that when it was on the radio so I bought the album. Well I knew nothing about the guy but as I started listening to the rest of the album it was like some hour long gay rights protest album and I just couldn't get with it. Needless to say the album is buried in the deepest darkest corners of my sock drawer where hopefully noone ever knows my dark secret.

/obligatory "Not that there's anything wrong with that" added to show my compassion on the subject :D

I'm amazed nobody's figured out that the last guy is Tommy Tutone.

I'm the King of bad songs. I love a ton of them.

They are pretty obscure and I can't say I have heard them in the last two and a half decades, but when I was between 7 and 11 years old, they were AWESOME!

I thought the last one was the lead singer for Loverboy.
