I need help with a song - it is a pop song and sounds like it is by Coldplay but it is not. Has the lyrics on "my own" or it might "on your own" (and no it is not Bobby Brown) - the hook is the band or backup singers singing "whoa oh oh oh, whoa oh oh oh". I am pretty sure it has been used on a commercial or tv show. Does anyone know this song?

There's this dude named Mat Kearney who I swear to god sounds the EXACT same as Chris Martin. It's probably a song by him.

Also the "woah oh oh woah oh oh" bit sounds like Look After You by the Fray

It's not The Fray and I listened to some Kearney songs and you are exactly right about him sounding like Chris Martin. But he is not the artist I am looking for either. It sounds like a cross between Coldplay and the Lumineers (but they are not the band either) and the whoa oh oh part is the main hook to the song.

I sang the hook to one of my students and they told me it was "Home" by Phillip Phillips, lol. He is actually saying "home" instead of "own". But the mystery has been solved. :)
