Agree entirely, and I'm not a big Radiohead fan. I think it's stupid to say something subjective is "overrated" as a factual statement. People are crazy about them, and DMB. They're okay to me. Radiohead is in my rotation too, and I like them. I know why they aren't my favorite. But to piss on someone else enjoying music? Even if it's autotuned pop garbage (which radiohead is not), live and let live when it comes to music.
Voodoo having a tough day? Dump on the Radiohead campfire powow and then throw DMB under the bus too, only to have the Grooglecrux stick up for ya? Well, I hate to contribute to the excitement and push the overrating meter over the top only to 'suffer the backlash of the enthusiasm', so I will just say I'm interested to hear what they put out this time around. Don't think I'll preorder, maybe I'll just borrow VDP's "newspaper album" since he buys all the albums but isn't a fan.
I agree with this and wasn't pissing on anyone for enjoying their music. I dig it, I like to listen to it, enjoy the albums, and can appreciate how the band has continued to evolve their sound over the years. I just don't think as highly of it as Mr Yorke and the "if you don't think it's the best ever you are stupid" crowd. That's the point of my overrated statement. Lucky for this thread I said what I did or this thread would be one big Radiohead love orgy.
So now you are saying you did it in the name of justice? Because in a thread about huge, surprising and utterly positive Radiohead news there shouldn’t be unanimous rejoicing. You just unmasked yourself as a Radiohead trolling party pooper.
Those guys are awesome. I can understand how its not for everyone. I personally feel like my musical tastes are varied enough to have a good experience with music. After hearing and enjoying all different types, Radiohead is at the top of the list for me right next to the Chili Peppers, Zeppelin, Al Green and Wilco. I do find people funny though. Hipsters went on about people not getting Radiohead. Those people now are all over bands like Vampire Weekend, which I cannot for the life of me understand why. Back on topic though, I am excited to see what they make. I hope its as good as InRainbows, but that will be tough. I really hope Thom adds his "Give Up the Ghost" to it. I fell in love with that song. On a related note, I would like to see Atoms for Peace drop at least one album. The genius of Flea and Yorke may be too much for this galaxy!!!
why do you and the other radiohead-heads have to get all butt-hurt about him expressing an opinion? If someone said my favorite band sucked or was overrated I wouldnt care. Doesnt change how I feel about them or the band. I think the general butt hurt itt proves voodoopope is indeed correct.

opinions are fine but to say radiohead is overrated is pretty lame. for a band as big as they are, to still be making relevant and surprising records is a real tribute to their artistry.
