So you're saying you have to be college educated to be able to see that there are a lot of things wrong in the world right now? Do you need to grow up in the suburbs to see that most people don't really care about what's going on and would rather just complain about things then do something about it? The things he writes about in his song is what a lot of people actually think, whether the idea may be crazy or not. There's a certain subsection of America that think 9/11 was an inside job. There's a lot of people that think Glenn Beck is crazy. There are a lot of people in America that have no clue why Egyptians are protesting, but they all know about Snooki and The Situation.

If you don't like the song that is fine, everyone has their opinion, but I don't understand why his upbringing and his education doesn't make his opinions any less valuable than yours. Also, why would someone who writes a song about that subject matter have a need or want for running for public office? You do what you can with the platform that you have.

This quite honestly might be one of the worst hip hop songs I have ever heard.

I'm wondering how many people actually listened to the song before flaming just because it's rap. Whether or not you agree with his political views I would rather listen to music on the radio expressing someone's views on real issues then say any song you can pick out of the top 10 on the whatever billboard chart you can find.

Here are some quotes from the song that I think could be debated over. That in and of itself is something to be said for the quality of his lyrics since most hip hop radio play is given to songs talking about jewelry.

This may seem like a dumb question, but how is anything he says in his song any more valuable than anything on prime time cable news? Because it's packaged with a beat & rhythm and coming from a big name hip-hop artist's mouth? Everyone is good at complaining and pointing out problems. For once, offer well thought-out solutions. Package that with a beat & rhythm. That would truly be revolutionary for hip-hop.

As silly as politics can be, it's no simple thing. To me, it's quite clear these artists don't get much further than the headlines, and it's never pretty when one tries to speak about something they know little about. Hip-hop may not have always been this way, but it is what it is now, and that's money cash hoes. They should stick to that if they don't intend on putting a bit more thought into their music.
