I believe there's a drake thread that could probably use some resurrecting. I don't pay much attention to him, but I caught an article where he says that that album will have him rapping, not trying to do it all, which turned off some people to his first official release. Any and all arguments involving music boils down to a "listen to what you like" no matter how involved or educated the debaters consider themselves to be. What kind of counterpoint can you provide if someone says "It sounds good, I like it." Providing other alternatives for music isn't going to make that person dislike Song A nor would trying to teach a backstory, rhyme scheme, or dissecting lyrics. The (first 3) cd's themselves aren't an affront to music. Anything else, outside factors like reading interviews or blogs only hinder the listening experience since it colors your impressions outside the music.
Any hip hop fans that don't enjoy Kanye's music are just letting his persona influence their opinion. His production skills, and the fact that he makes commercially succesful hip hop music the way he wants it to sound, are genious.
Sh** is dope. I'm so glad he's off that heartbreak bullsh**. Tired of that damn jungle drums. Hoping for classic yeh for the cd. Instant buy.
New track: See me now. Beyonce is ****ing annoying as all hell. All her music sounds the same, and her voice is terrible. Kanye better come with some raw ****.
it's a debate bc it's a matter of right vs. wrong. music that takes no talent to make...shouldn't be as popular as it is. *sigh* **** it. there's too much to argue about
