Not true...the Beach Boys stood out as in "how the heck are these guys still touring...or even...standing?". ;)

They should just hand out the awards early and turn it into one giant concert.

I'm also starting to hate the old/young mash up performances. I agree with Bin Iver on letting the nominees perform solo.

And who the ***** is responsible for Chris Brown?!?!

When I saw Brian Wilson I almost cried. He look so lost on stage. You are right though, it was like watching the robot critters perform at Chuck-e-cheese.

well, you have to admire their tenacity for keeping it going no matter what. and, even if watching them is as fun as watching paint dry, they can still knock the tunes out decently and they still have an audience. have to admit that "foster the people" did a really good job...as well as "maroon 5".

i would hate to see Rush still touring trying to play "Tom Sawyer", "Freewill", or "Working Man" (or any Rush song for that matter) at that age. lol. but, it would definitely be interesting watching to see how much they had left in the tank.

An industry that doesn't recognize thrice, glassjaw, at the drive in, etc. as artists doesn't deserve my recognition.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Bruno Mars so far, his performance was excellent and his bassist Jamareo Artis had some pretty sick bass riffs in that song.

Nicki Minaj bombed like crazy, her performance was not memorable at all. I enjoyed Adele, Foo Fighters. The deadmau5 segment with Foo was great but the David Guetta part was just blah. Man that guy cannot be more sold out, same goes for Skrillex. Apart from Nicki Minaj I think all the performances were good.

They give out way too many awards. When you have so many categories that Betty White wins one for "music," than you have too many damn awards.

I love the part where Dave grohl talks about picking up instruments and playing it after receiving their Grammy and later in the night, he's performing with an electronic Mickey mouse dj.

that is what they do. about 99% of the awards are given out before the show even begins. they just save the "big" ones for the show.

my grammy take: i like adele. i like her couple of hit songs. i think she has a good voice. i also find it silly/nauseating how every year, the Grammy folk decide who they deem the greatest singer in the history of the world, and force them upon us. adele this year, lady antebellum last, whoever the year before, etc. her post-performance extended standing ovation and the constant jock-riding and worship from presenters towards her like she is the 2nd coming was just downright bizarre.

I didn't see any of the show, but I'm assuming that the best part of the Grammys was Karriem Riggins playing the drums for Paul McCartney.
