There has to be more Genesis/Peter Gabriel/Phil Collins fans on this board than this! Sound off and let us know what songs and albums you like!

I used to be a huge Genesis/Phil Collins fan.

    Favorite songs include:

    Silent Sun
    Home by the Sea
    In too deep
    Carpet Crawlers
    Many too many
    Mama
    Taking it all too hard
    Tonight, Tonight, Tonight
    Turn it on again
    That's all
    Follow you, follow me

    In The Air Tonight
    Against all Odds
    Easy Lover
    I missed again
    If leaving me is easy
    I cannot believe it's true

I cringe when I see or hear him singing something like Against All Odds or Susudio or some Disney tune. Such a waste of talent. Such a great influential drummer shouldn't be singing ballads. Get back behind the kit, Phil.

I like the Phil Collins-led Genesis. At least some of their stuff anyway. And it's much better than Collins' solo material. Just compare "Man On the Corner" to "Another Day In Paradise". Similar subject matter, but the former is about 1000 times better than the latter.

    Other Genesis songs I like:
    No Reply At All
    Tonight, Tonight, Tonight
Land Of Confusion(love the Spitting Image video)
Jesus He Knows Me(also had a great video)
    I Can't Dance(again, great video)
    Misunderstanding

Recently started getting into older Genesis. Outside of the greatest hits CD that I've been listening to since I was a kid (which is probably due to nostalgia) I don't really care as much for their pop 80s stuff. As I said in the other thread I think Duke is their last really great album before prog took a backseat to pop. And Then There Were Three is a fantastic album start to finish, it does not get enough love.

Ok, well, I didn't bump it, and somehow I missed it first time around.

Love Lamb Lies Down, Duke, Abacab... not so much Susudio era.

I think there's been another Genesis thread lately, discussing a return, but was surprised I hadn't posted in this one.
