Ha, yeah. I wasn't even going to try 5. That would have just pissed me off.

Great topic, but as others have said it's too difficult to pick just 5. And it's even harder to rank them.

The Top 5 changes all the time. I hate to put Codex on my list even though it is one of my favorites since it seems to be a flavor of the month around here, but I'll just be true to my top for now.

    1. Let Down

    2. Fake Plastic Trees

    3. The National Anthem

    4. Codex

    5. High and Dry

And since everyone is going for more than 5...

    6. Karma Police

    7. A Punch Up at the Wedding

    8. Kid A

    9. Paranoid Android

    10. Lotus Flower

Have had "No Surprises" as my ringtone since cell phones had those green gameboy screens.

"Just" partly because of the music video, but such memorable guitar riffs in the break.
"Life in a Glass House" because of the trombone and trumpet.
"High and Dry" because it was one of the first songs I learned the lyrics to by rewinding and replaying on my tape player.
And the rest of OK Computer, I usually even like all of the random covers and tribute albums from smaller bands.

I'm not very good at trying to select favorite songs from an artist, but when I start listening to Radiohead, I always end up listening to:

    You and Whose Army?
    Lucky
    Fake Plastic Trees

This is my best try - I usually listen to Radiohead albums as a whole and don't pick favorite songs. But if I were to play some songs to someone who'd never heard any Radiohead, these are the ones I pick:

    You
    Planet Telex
    Black Star
    Airbag
    Paranoid Android
    Lucky
    Polyethylene
    Everything In Its Right Place
    Pyramid Song
    Knives Out
    Backdrifts
    Go to Sleep
    Bodysnatchers
    Nude

I expected to see a lot more love for Planet Telex. Man, that's a helluva way to open an album. Still get chills the first time the drums drop out and the guitar comes in.

Airbag, same thing. What a way to open an album. Sleigh bells? Really?

National Anthem. That should have opened Kid A. Bass line is simple but just intoxicating. It's almost 6 minutes long but still feels too short.

You. Another great album opener. Love the guitar riff.

But my #1 would have to be Street Spirit (Fade Out). Sorry, Thom. I'm one of the fans that loves it.
