Sorry for the 2nd thread in a row (a 3rd one is coming ), but what are your favorite songs by The Beatles? I like the earlier stuff a lot better than later era Beatles but here is my 10 favorites in no particular order: Please Please Me She Loves You All My Loving I Want to Hold Your Hand We Can Work It Out A Day in the Life Hello Goodbye Twist and Shout Love Me Do Yesterday
I am a bigger fan of their later stuff myself, added my top 5 below Across the universe Happiness is a warm Gun Rocky Raccoon while my guitar gently weeps Hey Jude
my favorite beatles song for over 5 years now has been a song i never previously paid much attention to. ive been listening to the beatles my whole life and one day this song really caught my attention. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/tKz3WwHZ7PI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Eleanor Rigby because if you're only a casual Beatles fan and never hit an oldies station, it seems atypical and you're impressed that they can work with a string ensemble. Also a bit ahead of its time, kind of a Eurythmics style song. Hey Jude because of the backstory, and just how cool it would have been to have a Dad and family friends like that.
There's just too many. Some that stand out to me: In My Life A Day in the Life Nowhere Man I really like And Your Bird Can Sing too. Just too catchy. I can just listen to that on loop endlessly.
Ditto. The phase one pop isn't interesting to me (exception: Help). They really set the stage for alternative when they evolved into mold-breaking artists. For me: Hey Bulldog Tomorrow Never Knows Rain Lucy Norwegian Wood Across the Universe Something Here Comes the Sun
Ah, just so happens I'm listening to all the Beatles CDs right now. So.... 1. Hard Day's Night 2. Strawberry Fields Forever 3. All My Loving 4. Helter Skelter 5. Eleanor Rigby 6. I'm Only Sleeping 7. Mother Nature's Son 8. Hey Jude 9. Anytime At All 10. Taxman
My music taste has constantly changed over the years, but the Beatles are always my favorite band. I can listen to them at any time and their songs never get old. Here Comes the Sun Can’t By Me Love Help Dear Prudence Helter Skelter I Feel Fine Something While My Guitar Gently Weeps The Fool on the Hill A Day in the Life
Here comes the sun With a little help from my friends For no one Got to get you into my life I need you You've got to hide your love away Ticket to ride Paperback writer Something Let it be
Happiness is a warm gun Anna Sexy Sadie Something Hey Jude Eleanor Rigby Across the Universe For No One Some of these I liked even better because they were covered so well. Like Fiona Apple's Across the Universe.
