William Shatner - "Rocket Man". But you've gotta love his version of "Lucy In the Sky with Diamonds".
Ginuwine - When Doves Cry Six Pence none the Richer - Don't Dream it's over some chick - Heaven [Bryan Adams Song] Rocket River i generally dislike most remakes
I saw LeAnne Rimes at the Rodeo several years back at the Dome because I got free tickets to a suite from work. She covered "Purple Rain", and it was so horrible, I literally got up and left for the duration of the song.
Jessica Simpson - boots are made for walking Jessica and Nick - Take my breath away (berlin) some group did a cover of roxette's listen to your heart but ti sounds almost the same but worse if it makes any sense almost any dance song version of the original done by some high pitched singer at an unbearable speed is crap as well.
there are some people you just cannot remake Prince is one of them BTw I did not like his version of Nothing Compares to You I know he wrote it but .. ole girl [sinead O Connor?] had the better version I also did not care for his version of 'If God was One of Us' Rocket River
Thank you, thank you, thank you for mentioning this! Talk Talk is such a great band and for No Doubt to come along and do what they did, it makes me...counts to ten. I'll just stay silent on the rest of what I was going to say. I remembered another horrid one - "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by this terrible singer named Nikki French (?). An absolute mammoth classic song written by the great Jim Steinman that was turned into a dance farce.
I'm telling you the Derailers did a fantastic version of Raspberry Beret. But I didn't care for Tom Jones' version of Kiss that a lot of people seemed to love. I chuckled at it once, but that was it.
