I loved Badmotorfinger but was confused with Superunknown (hated the songs Black Hole Sun and Spoonman). Only song I liked on that disc was Fell on Black Days. LOVED Rage. I mean they were just pioneers of that whole rap/rock genre. Everyone else was just riding their coattails. Hard to believe that disc came out in 1992. Sorta liked Audioslave. Some songs rocked, others were too melow for me and just sounded like Cornell was whining. Id imagine that Cornell kicks out the solo stuff for a while. A Rage reunion is what Im hoping for.
Down on the Upside is my favorite Soundgarden CD and one of my favorite CDs of all-time. They're so irrelevant to you that you posted about them at 2:29 in the morning. Sounds like someone is so distraught, they couldn't sleep.
Creed. I mean, Creed had all these ideas first, really. The band hadn't been put together yet. They invented the paper airplane too.
This really isn't a big deal. Audioslave was dull after the first album. The 90's are far behind us. It's time for people to leave them there.
Audioslave never really panned out like everyone hoped ~ that their last album bombed pretty much sealed the deal.
yeah, but when they realized how he couldn't go a 48-minute span without doing something incredibly sucky (like, NBDL-level "sucky"), they had to let him go. That's when Scott Stapp, fresh off curing polio and a turn with the Navy Seals, jumped on board.
I really liked the first album. Cochise was awesome. The last two I can only name one song of and was disappointed with. I'm wondering what will come of the band without Cornell.
And the public doesn't realize how altruistic Stapp really is -- I think it's because he's so humble. But in between teaching sign language to blind children and saving little puppies from raging fires, he made music. Sweet music. Scott Stapp's a hero. Some would say the greatest hero of all.
I was just listening to Between The Buried and Me's cover of "The Day I tried to Live" good stuff man.
I never really listened to them but their songs in the Miami Vice movie seemed kind of cool. Still, it aint my thing.
I agree. I guess what I was trying to say is that Rage took it to the next level. FYI - Im a huge Anthrax fan.... I'm The Man.
geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez i love you. also: Giles has a better voice than Cornell anyways, and the heavy metal aspect he added to that song makes it kick so much ass...it's on repeat now.
