I haven't heard that Vitalic. How does it compare stylistically to the previous release?

I just got a copy of The xx last night. Listened to in once...and really enjoyed it.

Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights

Yeah, I know it came out 7 years ago, but it still the best album of 2009 because all these indie bull****s THINK they are Interpol, but they are not.

They are all **** buttons and The !!!'s and Mates of State and all kinds of horse****ery.

Plus now only do I gots it on VINYL, but I have the original recording of Obstacle 1, the first time they ever played it, ever.
    DUMPSTERS.

    Devendra Banhardt?

Ohhhh you're a homeless man who found his way to the music I get it... Here... have a few cracks at Natalie Portman's axe wound!

    SNAP!

Fedora and ironic tee shirt, yeah mother****er.

INDIE BEARD. I haven't shaved in 6 weeks.

Yeah ok, right after that I'll go listen to the ****ing Strokes and paint my ******* green, Joy Division is for sissies. Ian Curtis stole all his music from Pete Shelley's Fairy Godmother.

Manic Street Preachers - Journal for Plague Lovers.

This is the last of the source material remaining from Richey Edwards.

I'm sorry, but Joy Division changed the world. I mean, there was Jesus, Buddha, and then Ian Curtis.

Gotta disagree. Both good bands, though.

Technically, yeah...as musicians the got more proficient. As a "band," they just became different. They both changed popular music in their own right...for the better.

I believe the only albums that I would buy that came out in 2009 (and I still have not gotten them yet!) would be Wilco (The Album) and Embryonic.

...all really good metal albums of 2009. I saw Killswitch a couple months ago with Slayer, which is releasing an album (with four different covers that when put together, create a world map covered in blood) on 11/3. The Shadows Fall album kicks ass too.

Mastodon, Dethklok, Converge and High On Fire are playing in Austin at the Music Hall, a much better venue on 11/13.
