For us clueless old fogies, can someone explain what this is? Is it these songs being interlaced with the Beatles tunes?

 

Mash ups are a current trend in music where sections of music from one song are put together with lyrics from anther song. More than just sampling, it is one song put in with another and "mashed" together.
