I'm just surprised by that type of accident. I can't remember ever hearing about or reading about giant logs rolling on the beach. I mean, I've heard of the term "driftwood" and I think that was a band or something too, but I never realized what driftwood actually meant, or that it was common enough to have a term for it. Giant rolling log on the beach is scary as hell. That's a tough way to go, especially so for a kid so young.

    :( Dang. Poor kid.

Just another day at the beach for some... and no one expects this.

    That is sad stuff, indeed.

When I think of drift wood I'm thinking of a little branch. 39 foot long log? wtf

"Sheriff’s deputies said they believe the disturbance of the sand in front of and beneath the log may have caused it to shift, rolling seaward and striking the child."

Shouldn't they take that into account and move the log before an accident can occur? I can't imagine them not seeing the potential of a freakin 39ft giant log rollin down the beach.

The back handed sarcasm only makes you guy seem more sad.

I can't wait till one of your own beloved family members (if you even have any) or friends (if you even have any) or children (if you even have any) die, get run over, get murdered, etc.

When that time comes I expect you to post it on here for it to become joke fodder.

Whatever. You keep insisting that I"m the hypocrite. Keep trying to paint yourselves as just being innocent and funny at the expense of tragic deaths.
