Guys, as most of you know I work at SportsRadio 610. Since I have been here I have been pushing to get my hands on passes specifically for the BBS and I finally got some! Here is some info about the movie: I've got like 70 passes with each one getting two people in for free. It's on Tuesday the 19th at 7:30 at Angelika. The Angelika is located downtown in Bayou Place at 510 Texas Avenue (at the corner of Smith). they will validate your parking so this is truly free. I want to have a good showing so scoop 'em up! Post here if you want them and I will have them for you at the station: 24 Greenway Plaza Suite 1900 Houston, Texas 77046 we are right by the Summit, er, Compaq Center, er, Lakewood Church. http://www.angelikafilmcenter.com/houston/directions.asp
This film has been getting an incredible amount of buzz. I think many here would love to see it. I can't go, but I encourage others to check it out. See the trailer here: http://www.apple.com/trailers/independent/murderball/
Buck, mac, and RM95 - I have your passes at the receptionist. Here is where we are: Google Map to Sportsradio 610 Tell the receptionist you are here to pick up movie passes to murderball. Your Clutch BBS Screenname is on the back! Do you guys want 2 people or 4 to get in?
i just need a pass for 2. what's teh latest we can pick them up? i don't think i can make it out there today.
Chance, I'm going to come up there today or tomorrow to get them. Could you add Buck Turgidson's to mine? He's too lazy to go up there and get them himself. I just saw him post, so hopefully he can confirm this for you.
I just got this. Theya re up there. If anyone else wants to come I will leave a bunch up at the front office. This is gonna be a great movie. It's free...There are not many things in life free. This is one so take advantage of it!
Let me be the first to recommend that ya'll take Chance up on the offer and get a pass. I saw the Austin premiere this evening and it was a great movie. Great character studies, very good action sequences, well shot, good soundtrack, and a strong mix of humor and genuinely moving moments. After the movie, the audience was also surprised with the opportunity for a Q & A with the star of the movie (and the rugby team) Mark Zupan. He's from Austin...so he may make the screening tomorrow night in Houston?!?
