Why did I believe Kubiak when he said 2-3 weeks? Never trust anyone from the Shanahan system when it comes to injuries.

At this rate Daniel Manning will make it back to game action before AJ.

Actually they're probably going to do some weird unconventional procedure where they replace his leg with the leg of a kangaroo. That will cut the estimated injury time from "out for season" to 4 weeks.

When in all reality, he is actually done for his career.

But they do this so the opponent game plans for him to be out there. They throw the ball away from that side because they think Manning is playing, and Kareem continues to look good in Kubiak's eyes. Thus, leading him to believe that we don't need Bodden at all.

Is he coming back too soon? My heart wants him to play but my brain says he should rest up at least through the bye week. We need a healthy AJ to win in the playoffs.

Being active doesn't necessarily mean he'll be in for any snaps.

I don't mind him playing limited snaps. Just to shake the rust off

I think this is just a matter of the fact that the Texans are sitting pretty so far. If the Texans are 3-5 and 2 games behind the division leader, then perhaps AJ plays. But at this point, there's honestly no point. We face yet another anemic offense that Phillips can feast on. And no reason our OL and Foster can dice through their defense to set up play-action. Even Browns fans think they have zero chance of winning.

I am confused to how he is closer since Kubiak held Andre out of practice again today.

Exactly. Who is this jason la canfora and why should I trust his signs? I don't think they would put AJ80 in the game without any practice snaps/contact.

I wonder if they will just get him a few snaps in the game to see how he responds....

Gut instinct, I don't think he plays.

If he ends up playing, however, i'm guessing their approach was to work him hard early in the week, rest him for a day after and the see how he is the remainder of the week.

If he plays, he will play full reps. Kube's hasnt shown the "easing a player in" (that's what she said), philosophy

If he doesn't play this week, I don't think he should play next week either as it is a week before the bye week, might as well rest him until after the bye.

And we'll hear again next week how he has a chance to play, and looks good doing this or that, blah blah blah. And they'll sit him out again, and then the bye week. :)

Is there a coach in the league who gives the least bit of useful information to the media as much as what Kubiak spews out every week?
It's always "day-to-day" this and "battle fight" that. The guy spits out so many cliches it's ridiculous.

And I'm perfectly fine with that. They can win the next 2 without AJ. Get him 100% and rested for the stretch run.
