Sims-Walker isn't terrible. He put up back to back 7 TD years in Jax.

He got doghoused by McDaniels after he dropped some passes. McDaniels also benched Peyton Hills. So Peyton Hillis couldn't hack it in a horrible Denver team last year, I guess he sucks right?

Both Andre and Casey are expected to return to practice this week, per Kubiak. Sounds promising for Sunday.

Honestly dont need AJ for this week against Jax...sit him another week. Absolutely no reason at all to risk him getting injured or re-aggravating it.

If this season has taught us anything about hamstring injuries (arian and mendenhall), it's that an extra week of rest can do wonders for a player.

His extra week was this past week against the Titans.

It's time to get him back.

IF he can play, play em. He can rest during the bye week and after we clinch the division he needs to.

Honestly don't get all the let him sit another week talk. I have a feeling people would be saying that even if he sat another few weeks. If the docs, coaches, and Andre say he's ready, then he should play.

If Andre is ready, then you play him. This is a division game against a damn good defense. These next 3 games for the Texans are all winnable, and I don't want another Oakland debacle where we let one get away. We need to wrap up this division as soon as possible.....a first round bye is not at all out of the question here, as long as we take care of business. If Andre is healthy, he needs to play. Period.

You'd think after Foster's cameo in Miami, a lesson was learned. Hammies are notorious for reaggravation, especially with players at speed/acceleration positions. Rule of thumb with most injuries: you'll feel 100% before you really are - that's the dangerous area: you don't feel pain at rest, so you are ready to go full tilt, but are still very susceptible to reinjury.

I don't know how Andre's hamstring really is at this point. Docs can only evaluate range of motion and take his word for it in regards to tightness. The smart thing is to give him a full week from the point that he declares himself 100%. Maybe that was Saturday. But Foster was "100%" only a couple of days before Miami and came back too soon.

That's what "if he's ready" implies though. If he's NOT ready, do NOT play him. If Andre can go full-board during practice this week without any issues, then he's obviously ready to suit up and go. Arian was still feeling tightness in his hammy during the week leading up to the Miami game, which indicated that he was NOT ready. If the same happens with Andre this week, then he absolutely needs to sit.

The problem is, players want to play and are almost always going to say they are ready. Foster said he was ready for Miami...and then admitted the tightness after reaggravating it.

Everyone's on the same page that when they are ready they should play, the trick is knowing when that really is.

I think you activate him but hand his jersey over to Bryant, have bryant line up in place of andre and run deep routes. If two little twin girls can fool their parents, we can totally get over jack del rio without getting fined.

    ***Really hope he sits out.

But like Harrisment mentioned, there are those who are going to want to continue to rest him no matter when you decide to bring him back. Say we followed their advice and didn't make mention of him returning until next week vs. Cincy, the same people would be wanting him to come back against Tampa instead. And if we waited for the Tampa game then they'd want us to rest him through the bye.

Who's to say they haven't already learned their lesson from Foster and taken things slower with Andre than they otherwise would have?

i don't think it's that big of a slippery slope.

This will be his first week going 100%, presumable. Assuming everything goes off without a hitch, I doubt any one would have a problem with him going against the browns.

I also think alot of the reservations are due to how he got hurt (collapsed in a bundle) and the following procedure (something relatively newer).

I don't think anyone would argue for him to sit out against the Browns if he is a full participant in practice this week. If so, they can be ignored and laughed at.

I have no idea how he is. If he felt 100% Sunday, sat out to be safe, and can go 100% all week, then I hope he starts and tears a hole in the Jags secondary.

Just let him play a half with limited snaps if he does play. Mathis is an above average corner so I woudlnt want Schaub forcing the ball to him and making every target some fight-for-the-ball, dive and reach catch. Play the first quarter build a lead then have him in every other series. Then run and exploit their middle with Daniels/Dreessen.
