    Watching the football game and thought it would be fireworks, this is scary.

    I think two explosions, at least three shootings and a kidnapping.

    Suicide bombings reported near the soccer match. Reports from Sky news of at least 28 dead in all the attacks.

    PARIS — Shootings in central Paris on Friday night have left several people dead and wounded, French television reported, while an explosion near Paris at the country’s main sports stadium forced the hasty evacuation of President François Hollande. The explosion occurred during a France-Germany soccer match.

    The shooting broke out at a concert hall. Some reports said as many as 18 had been killed in the 10th and 11th Arrondissements of Paris. Others said hostages had been taken.

    It was unclear whether there was a link in any of the violence to terrorism but French media reported that Kalashnikov rifles were involved in the shootings — a favored weapon of militants who have attacked targets in France — and that many rounds were fired.

    The shootings occurred near the former headquarters of Charlie Hebdo, the satirical newspaper where shootings in January traumatized France.

    Police sirens sounded throughout central Paris on Friday night.

    I was watching the first half of the football match on TV and heard the explosions, the reporter remarked that people in the stadium were ducking and getting scared. Terrible. I will leave the political commentary in the D&D. But this is very sad.

    This refugee situation has me extremely worried, IS has free reign to ship thousands into Europe and to establish their network here.

    Think I'll stay away from all big events in the next months, something is bound to happen.

    This is very true. I made a very benign and harmless comment on Facebook, and was immediately attacked by one of my well-meaning "Refugees Welcome" Facebook friends. I just deleted the comment again.
