It's all fake, reality television for the most part is all an act, these guys are selling drama. Sad if you buy into it.....I admit I watched parts of an episode or two, but I felt like an idiot for buying into what they were selling.
Since its MTV, i think we all know its fake and not a reality show at all. Nothing wrong with that. Its entertaining as hell and thats all that matters. Not much different than watching another regular tv show...
You are right. I guess I just don't like being told that it is real drama while its being produced behind the camera or by those involved. Also the content is extemely dumbed down, not that tv shows arn't simplistic in nature as well, but there are shows that are witty and intelligently produced. To each their own I guess.
Count me in as a late convert. Uncle Nino, Vinny's uncle an "original guido", that guy was major WIN. (I wouldnt doubt its an actor playing the part. Way too awesomely stereotypical). I don't think the fights were fake. In season 1 for example, the guy who punched Snookie got arrested and charged. Ronnie got arrested for fighting as well.
Obviously not everything is fake, but they create situations on purpose to make the show interesting, which eventually leads to something real happening. I'm sure each of these guys are willing to get punched if it means getting more $$$. It's like watching a clown act, same schtick.....
Well lets just say you bought what they are selling. People got tired of the shock value that shows like Real World and others brought, this is just bigger, badder, and crazier. The producers surely knew what they were trying to sell here and I'm sure they hired people who were willing to play the part. Like someone already pointed out, its similar to a sitcom except you are watching people act out their life in a manner which will entertain you....similar to watching the circus.
i prefer Paulie's chick...i saw a pic of vinny's not glammed up and she kind of looks like a dude, with a flat body to go with it. As for the show...yeah they got the roomate thing going for them...any time you put personalities like that in a house you're going to get them to butt heads plenty of times...however, i do think they lucked out in a way because even with a thourough casting process you never know how they'll work out, especially during tense moments. Will they break down or bounce back? Lucky for them, most of them bounce back well.
I've never watched Jersey Shore but they've got "The Situation" on Nightline right now and I have that feeling that Hank Hill has when he sees some hippy and says "I want to kick your ass.."
The hottest girl on the show is still Sammie and she's not even all that. I'm surprised at the lack of talent those guys pull considering their fame, looks, and being in Miami. I've seen guys do much better with far less.... Myself included :grin:
Yeah, I thought the same...when it was first announced that they would do Miami, I thought it would kinda suck because theyre famous...so I figured they'd just bang hot girls left and right. But, they go home alone a lot of the time, lol. :grin: Also, the places they go to are terrible...They go to Klutch all the time...I was there last month. Biggest piece of crap club ever, zero hot girls. They dont go to any of the hot spots in Miami.
Vinny's girl is f-ing hot! holy crap..ramona? that her name? but yea it was funny the situation was being creepy and ****...he was being an a-hole the entire time
I bet they made a deal with some of the clubs they always go to. My guess is at all the real hot spots in Miami they would probably be at the bottom of the totem pole in terms of celebrity and fame and it would be hard to film them if they were at a spot that was shoulder to shoulder. I still love the show and hope they make a 3rd season and props to them for becoming rich and famous for partying and being stupid. Ohh Yahhhhhhhhhhh Oh yahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!
