They just took over MTV for 24 hours. There was a lot of hilarious stuff on it. Cracked Out was hilarious. This is the only link I could find with that part on it. The one called Representin' includes a great piece called Bennigan'z. You might have to watch another piece before Cracked Out comes out, but watch it until you see their song. Oh man the counting song was so funny. Aziz was laughing non-stop in the background. And Bennigan'z was actually a good song. I'd give their cd a try. The 24 hr thing was well done, considering they had to keep it up for TWENTY FOUR hours. Can't wait for the season 1 dvd.
I think it's the best network for adolescents/teenagers out there. It doesn't educate or enlighten them, but it sure as heck entertains them better than anyone else ever tried to. I think those "True Life" shows alone make up for indirectly destroying broadcast television, a-la Real World, Road Rules and that ungodly hybrid.
I think I'm usually catching either Penn & Teller, Showbiz Show or something at that time; but, yea, the pilot I saw had me on the floor. The skit where the judge made him dress like a tree? The crazy ass music promoter? Probably the funniest stuff I've seen all year.
When the Indian guy took a boombox to the park and started playing Sixpence, Lou Bega, etc., I was LMAO.
And it keeps us parents from having to talk to our kids about sex. They can learn everything they need to know by watching MTV.
