Lighten up and have a giggle occasionally. I saw someone say this on twitter but didnt realize it was also said on the newscast. Dont take offense when your fellow trump haters make a funny. It be like that sometimes.
https://www.politifact.com/factchec...th-msnbc-bloombergs-ad-spending-wasnt-enough/ so they just saw a random tweet apparently and ran with it in their anti-capitalist pseudo-righteousness
Because one side likes to humiliate the other. What did Cheri Oteri’s “Barbara Walters” say on New Years Eve to Andrew and Anderson? “And since dignified journalism is passé —- Anderson —- and humiliating conflict is all the rage —— Andrew ——“
Someone else made the comparison to this being 5th grade math...which is about right. Yes, people make math mistakes. When we do it on this board, or in personal life, do we do it in front of millions of viewers, who will willingly lap it up? Do we do it with a team of editors following us around, to make sure we don't make such mistakes, and correct them if we do? Do we have cohosts that immediately confirm our erroneous statement? Most importantly, when we make these types of mistakes, are they just mistakes, or do they stem from and corroborate a flawed perception of reality? I'm curious...did they apologize and correct their misstatement? Without checking, I'm going to guess they didn't...or buried it so deep no one will see it.
Ok, good. Shouldn't have gotten to where it ever went on air, but glad to hear they corrected it. Poking a little fun at themselves is probably the right way to do it.
It's the million being said twice that should be the clue. It's not a 'trick'. If you were going to give $500 million dollars to 327 people, then yes that's over a million to each one. But giving $500 Million to 327 million people, is the same as giving $500 to 327 people (the millions cancel out)...and I hope Mara et al would realize that if you have $500 to give to 327 people that doesn't let you give each of them over $1 M. It also points out a lack of critical thinking and common sense. Let's say you did first think that if Bloomberg had just given that money away, then everyone in the U.S. would get $1M....would you not then think 'wait, that doesn't make any sense'? The only reason I can see not having that thought is if you really buy into the whole just tax the rich more would solve all problems nonsense...and hey, Bloomberg is rich, so he MUST have way more than enough to just give everyone in the country $1M, right? But you'd have to believe the rich were really THAT rich to start with (when they aren't), and then just gloss over that this was actually only a small part of his wealth, making the belief even more outlandish. Finally, if indeed he was spending enough to give everyone $1 Million, don't you think it would have occurred to him to just do that, for their vote, and viola, he's President? ?? ie, it doesn't make sense even if you buy the math (which also doesn't make sense).
maybe i shouldn't said VALID excuse... i was just making a general comment on how sad and sorry the state of Math is in the USA i think you are reading too much into it... it's just a silly math mistake, in my book (that is not too uncommon, ... for 5th grader lol)
Someone had to write the tweet Then someone had to notice the tweet Then someone had to bring this forward for consideration Then someone had to ok this tweet, then it had to be seconded, and then it was added to the show And only after all that, did the show hosts get to it. Beyond the original tweet, this isn't one person making a mistake, this is an entire media production line of npcs
How the hell is his head getting wider and denser. The side of his head just keeps going and going and he lost his neck at some point. I am sure I will not look great at 75 either......... but I have never seen this before, his body looks like it is being absorbed into a rock.
Nah the non amateurs wait for the foreclosures and then CLEAN UP and rent the houses back to the poor working slobs...... who them eventually buy back the homes that they lost in another decade for 50% more than the rich people bought them for. It is kind of like share cropping for the 21st century.
