When you start driving to Austin, you definitely going to go faster than that. I had to haul ass this morning from Houston to Austin to make it to my class in time.
I feel pathetic. I've maybe gone 90 when I worked at the dealership and drove some of the sports cars we had on the lot.
155 (my limiter) on I-10 on my way back from Florida... somewhere in Alabama. 130 on Beltway near IAH
75 on the freeway, normally go 60 but dude behind me was getting impatient. I even pressed the accelerator all the way down for like 4 seconds.
I drove to Austin earlier this month to lease an apartment. I wouldn't say its a good idea though. I see tons of cops pulling people over nearly every 10 miles.
i got pulled over for going 10 once... and never got pulled over for going 100 like many times... smdh
~120 mph on 59S towards sugarland in a Toyota Camry 2002...Steering wheel shook too much and then a weird smell...i have never sped that fast since...rarely go above 90 anymore...i like saving my gas.. The fastest car speed that i sat thru was 145 mph in M3-BMW...I-10W outside Houston
I don't drive fast. I've only gone over 100 once (coincidentally it was for orientation last summer). But when the speed limit is 75, you can go 80 without worrying about being pulled over. Less cops if you go the i10 and 71 route instead of the 290 BTW.
I went both ways and yeah I agree I saw a lot less on I-10 and 71 but there's still a noticeable amount here and there, just less of a frequency. Also, I thought you were talking about going 100 haha. Yeah, I always thought the unwritten rule was 5 over is fine anyway.
