    I got one of the original iPods when they first came out, and I haven't had too many complaints about the battery life. Yes, it has reduced, but not hugely, particularly considering how often I use it. Of course, I was careful about the re-charging pattern that I used, having had more than a few laptops in the past.

    If treated correctly, I think the iPod battery is fine. Of course, the iPod isn't the cheapest option, but it is a very nice portable music player.

    with the ipods can you convert your own cds to be playable on the ipod??

    you can do that with any mp3 player.

    Just rip the songs into mp3s...

    damn the ipods are pretty expensive here is australia

    might try and get me one on ebay

    I don't know if ipod's are really worth the money. It looks nice and has been marketed well, but it just seems too expensive still.
