i've only been there once for work. I arrived the sunday night of the AFC championship game and my hotel was a hilton right across the river from the stadium. Needless to say, it was nuts. The downtown was much more metropolitan and busy than i thought. Cant remember all the food places i went to but I do remember it being pretty good. I was there when it was hovering around zero degrees so I won't brag about the weather. You better become a steelers fan. Like others have said, it's a whole new level of football fandom. Almost every house had a steelers sign in the window. I've never seen anything like it. I will say that I don't remember seeing many pretty women...but then again, i was there for work and didnt get out and about to see the nightlife. Note: There was a cool little restaurant/brewery that was converted from and old church
your right on with that. since they have like 2,000 people to attend the games... you can go and sit basically anywhere you want and the attendants at the game dont care. sitting behind homeplate you get the best view of the skyline.. it really is a sight to see
g/l, and f the penguins. I expect to be at the Winter Classic between the Caps and Pens next year at Heinz if you're gonna go to that.. As a city, I'm a big fan (in the summer). I liked some of the unusual museums they had there (and i'm not a museum guy usually)... PNC Park is amazing.
Yea, I am a hockey fan just no true affiliation but I do like seeing the Pens and Caps play on TV. The winter classic should be awesome, I think I might just make it by then so I'll will take advantage.
Good question, haven't decided thought maybe downtown but my future co-workers say to go outside the city. I want to walk to work but if there is a cheaper yet nice area just outside the city I would go for that. Actually waiting to board a plane there now, going to look around while I'm there.
