Thanks for the advice...That sounds like a plan...I can finally wear my Yao jersey and Rox visor, UofH visor and Astros cap without someone asking me "who's that"...

Oh yeahhhh... Give these damn Dallasites hell. I'm always and will be a Rockets, Texans, and Astros fan. It's in my blood!

It's great! It just gets really hot during the summer time w/ no humidity, but it's nice...

I'm also moving to Dallas after the summer for college. Any good clubs?

I live in the Las Colinas area about 2 blocks from where the Byron Nelson is played. You don't want to be in this area when the Byron Nelson is played. Las Colinas isn't all that great. There's really no middle class around here as far as homes. You either live in lower income housing or housing up in the high 6/low 7 figures. I'm about to buy a house up in Frisco, but I doubt you'd want to make that trip.

I like the Dallas area more than Houston for the most part, but Houston also had its advantages.

There's lot of them down Lower Greenville, Deep Ellum, and the West End in Downtown.

Yes, let's get together and have a few beers throughout the playoffs.

That's if we don't choke. But we will always have the beer. :D

Welcome rrj_gamz. I too moved from Albuquerque to Dallas (Mid-Cities) about 3 years ago.

I miss the mountains and the weather of Abq., but I enjoy how much more there is to do here.

    Do you need help moving?

When you moving in, rrj? Hopefully if I get time and if the wife doesn't want me to do anything, I can come out w/ DFW_Rockets_Fan and help you out....if you need it.

I moved from Plano (northeast Dallas) to ABQ, NM, and back.

My apt has some openings... if you haven't already made arrangements for housing this place is affordable and nicely located... We (me, wife & kids) just re-upped a new 1 yr. lease in a 2/2 and half, 1150 sq.ft. with covered parking for only $715 a month, no water or gas bill (elec. separate)... in a neighborhhod that has $1100 per month 1 bedrooms close by... 3-5 minutes from the tollway that goes straight to the Galleria/Addison area (20-30 min commute). The management is great, this is where we lived in '99 too. Been back here a year now, no complaints either way.

    Email me if you wish...

BTW - that was in '99-'00 before the strict teen curfew. ;)
