I'd like to see Al Harrington for the MLE, Marcus Banks with the LLE, and take a chance on Jay Williams for the minumum. I did want Tim Thomas but I can't imagine Van Gundy liking this guy.

Al Harrington isn't coming here for the MLE and we don't have an LLE because we used it last year on D. Anderson (you can't use it two years in a row), and even if we did Marcus Banks isn't going to sign for that.

That's not very likely but it's possible. The problem with signing Mike James though is that he's 31 and wants a 5 year contract. The Mavs are expected to offer him 3 years. They also will offer Toronto Marquis Daniels. Even so, he doesn't address their (Rockets) problem with a lack of height in their guard corps. In Dallas, this wouldn't be that much of an issue.

Too bad about the LLE thing, but who's going to pay more than the MLE for Harrington?

Cato wouldnt be a bad backup for Yao, if we can get him on the cheap. Hunter isnt bad either.

    I'd take Gooden.

i'd like Murphy on this team but his game reminds me of Juwan Howard with much better rebounding. He has a good 3 point percentage but he doesn't take many 3's and he is a bit inconsistent. He doen't play much defence but I think he can excel with the Rockets.

He will probably go in a sign and trade but we don't have any/the pieces needed to compete.

Based on that description, there is no chance Murphy will fit in with the Rockets.

I like Drew Gooden as a player. He's a high energy guy who can rebound and block shots. Plus it looks like Varajeo (sp?) is going to be starting there so he might be looking elsewhere for minutes...

Not bad but I like the idea of adding Matt Harpring along with MJ a bit better.

forget about doing a S&T with toronto for MJ, unless they are willing to take our TE, and even then MJ wouldn't agree to that deal.

we need to sign him for the MLE. most talent for the buck on the market.

    james-alston
    tmac-head
    shane-novak

that's good enough to compete. we can even go small and bring rafer in and move everyone up 1:

    rafer
    james
    tmac
    shane
    yao

our problem would be the PF spot. while I am comfortable with shane, hayes FILLING IN, we need a solid starter, and Jho aint it.

the TE should be used on a F/C who can replace deke while also filling in at the 4.

I'll take any Power Forward not named Juwan Howard. Thank you. Al Harrington would be nice, but he'd cost much more than the MLE.
