I doubt James will accept the role of coming off the bench especially since he thinks he's going to be MVP next year and I wonder if Toronto will let him walk since he's pretty active in some trade rumors and this is BC not Babcock
I would definately not bring Cato back. He played well until he got the big contract then was worthless. He is too lazy.
What about Jumaine Jones isn't he a FA? I would love Reggie Evans, hes a great rebounder whos not looking to score at all. Nene would be great too. Mike James would be great but I really doubt he wants to come off the bench again, but who knows.
How would nene fit on our team/. He's seeking a 10+ year contract, and he does equal or less than stromile.
We need a backup 4/5 and some backcourt depth. I would like us to pursue Drew Gooden and Bobby Jackson, although the odds of us attaining both are slim to nil. With that said, I think a dark horse in the free agent guards is Flip Murray, who had a nice half-season alongside LeBron James and I could see him providing instant offense off the bench. If we were able to get Gooden and Murray, and also re-sign Bogans for the minimum, I'd be a VERY happy man: C: Yao/Deke PF: Howard/Gooden/Hayes/Bowen SF: Battier/Bogans/Novak SG: McGrady/Head PG: Alston/Murray Our rotation players would be: Yao/Howard/Battier/TMac/Alston, with Gooden/Bogans/Head and Murray off the bench...Novak and Deke would receive spot minutes depending on matchups.
GOOD NEWS: Wilcox and Seattle are likely far apart in regards to money... BAD NEWS: He wants over $10 million per year (6yr for $64 mil)... ...according to the Seattle Times http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/sports/2003095267_soni30.html
Oh. Please no. As a Rocket fan in LA, I can tell you that after seeing this guy clang 3-ptr after 3-ptr, Laker fans were damn happy when Kupchak sent him packing to Charlotte (for a 07 2nd round pick no less).
uh..jones was averaging around 3 three-pointers per game in the later part of the season. when he actually got consistent playing time during january-march because of gerald wallace's injury, he was playing pretty well. jones would probably come cheap.
whoa. Doubt he's getting $10 mill, but I don't think he'll go for the MLE. I don't even know if he's the right guy for us anyways.
No one would join Rockets with cheap price and then get trade next year just because of the coach's problem. You don't belive it? Go and ask JJ, swift and JB
Me too. First we should sign V-Span. We have to trade away JHo before we sign another/starting PF (there's JHo, Hayes, Battier & Novak who can play at the 4). Deke contract will be expired in 2007 so the center position is solved for a year.

i agree. I think a good destination is minnesota. with the addition of Rany Foye they have WAY too many guards on thier roster (foye, davis, mccants, jaric, hudson, hassell, carter). they are thin upfront with only KG, EG, madsen, blount. i tihnk we could move Jho there for one of thier PG's. the odd man out seems to be jaric, who at 6'7 would make a nice partner for luther, as well as give us the ability to go with a very big lineup jaric, tmac, battier, FA, yao.
