Some of you rookies need to slow down. Damn, not to bash rookies (cause I'm one) but some of ya'll are just making stupid, crazy suggestions. Brent Barry starting at our two and giving up Luther and 1st round pick? And yes Al Harrington would be great but that will never happen, so please some of you guys slow your roll just a little and let some others have time to digest (and regurgitate) some of this non-sense that's being spoon-fed to us, OK?

How does Spreewell make this team a contender. A 37 year old player that hasn't played in a whole year that's demanding more than the MLE. Then how the hell do we get Mike James, Latrell Spreewell, and Al Harrington.

Harrington, S&T, couple of 2nd rounders... they should at least try for it

    Spree,haha, no thanks

MJ, MLE with a 5 year deal most likely

I would love to see MJ S&T for Jho.

we can keep our MLE for the likes of gooden, wilcox, harrington, jeffries, ely, mohamed.

gooden is on the outs with the cavs anyway. they would like verajo to start. but gooden is restricted and they would probably want something in return even if they plan on letting him go. a future second rounder with cash might get it done.

the TE could then be used on extra bench depth.

Harrington and Wilcox seem like players that would instantly land in JVG's dog house.

Mohammed might not be bad though, depending on if he wants to leave for Houston or not.

The player being traded for using a TE must fit within the TE being used.

It feels absolutely insane to say this, but I don't think ANY of those options are going to be better than Howard.

Gooden shows up to 1 out of 3 games. JVG would HATE him. Wilcox might be as dumb as Stromile. I won't pretend I know much about Harrington. I never saw him play much with the Pacers and I never watch the Hawks, but I do know he's been injury prone in the past and that worries me. Jeffries averages what? 6 & 4? I like him as a back up, but he's not a starter right now. I don't know much about Melvin Ely except that he hasn't even been able to get big minutes on teams like the Clippers or Bobcats. Mohammed is a center, and I don't think his skillset would compliment Yao. (though it might be like the Yao/Cato tandem. That did wreak havoc defensively)

The only power forward that was on the market this year that I would have preferred to Juwan Howard is Radmanovic - and he's off the market. I'm not sure that JVG would like Radmanovic either, but he'd certainly be the floor spacing power forward JVG was talking about.

The Nets on Friday announced that they have declined to exercise the option on the veteran forward's contract and waived forward Scott Padgett

    hmm

CD said on draft night that the trade is "only the first step" in this offseason.

I just wonder how many steps are there? Only one in sight is the signing of Mike James...

Is it going to be just a Texas "two step"?

How do you become a GM in NBA? Seeing what these morons are doing, I am really pumped up that maybe I should take a shot at this job too.

just because the next step is the only one is sight doesn't mean there aren't others.

we will use the TE to bring in a F/C either in a S&T or just a trade.

I'm pretty sure that we are looking to trade Jho.

i could see our roster like this:

    yao - deke - baxter
    TE (F/C) - hayes - bowen
shane - TRADE (Jho) - novak
    tmac - head - sura
FA (mj or banks) - rafer - JLIII
