A sharpie. Some roomies just don't understand that some of your stuff is ONLY your stuff, so it can help to label what you don't want their grubby little hands on.
Never lived in a dorm... always had my own place, but you should check out the "I HATE Ikea!" thread for some ideas. That might be a good spot to pick up some odds and ends.
Get a plug in fan to help drown out noise at night. Power strips. Basic gastro medicines...the first night you get the runs in a dorm, you'll want the pepto or the immodium. Mini fridge Microwave Cold medicine Foil for the window
My suggestions that I haven't seen yet 1. Toilet paper- even if you have a community bathroom. Guys jack them all the time so have your personal supply in your own room. 2. messageboard- works out well if you have a lady friend over and your roommate doesnt know about it. 3. camera- funny stuff is going to happen
Hmm, sounds like your rooming arrangement fits your lifestyle... ...single. Too bad there aren't any lounges or kitchens on the floors at Miami. But then again, I'm still going to Miami.
Hehe. Yes, the camera will be important when your idiot roomate is kneeled over the toilet after taking 8 shots of tequila and your suite-mate is serenading him with some lovely acoustic puking music.
We did Sega College Football. One of my favorite memories is watching one of my friends destroy his room after his roommate, who was normally beaten by 5+ TDs pulled off the monumental upset.
dont forget the sledge hammer. for the guitar that the guy in the next room strums incessantly, thinking he's the next coming of jimi hendrix or jimmy page or whoever.
