After living in Omaha for the past 15 years I am being transferred back to Htown next month. Our new lab is located in the 4800 block of the N Sam Houston Parkway West (Zip is 77066) My question is I would like to get an apartment close to work, anyone familiar with that area that has a recommendation on a nice complex. I am looking on line but if anyone has an idea I would appreciate it, I am going to be moving mid Nov. Looking forward to getting back and I am doing it before I have to endure one more Winter
if you were moving here this week and the yankees won just a couple more games during the season, then you coulda been at minute maid park to see us curb stomp your team in the 1st round.
I will tell you about the best place ever in the history of this great metropolis, but you gotta remove the Yankees avatar first. Just copy mine like half of the members here do.
Champions and Klein have some nice areas but a block or two in any direction and it gets sketchy af so shop well. If a ~30 min commute is not an issue you can check out Tomball or The Woodlands which are very family oriented. The Heights also within 30 minutes but younger, hip vibe.
I have a friend that lives in these apartments: https://www.google.com/maps/place/V...a8ee9b7e6bb361!8m2!3d29.9058495!4d-95.5587682 He has had no complaints about them for the past few years and for you it sounds like it would be a straight shot to work. If you're headed north towards 249 even better since you'll be going against inbound traffic. The drive home may be a little more tumultuous but definitely not as bad as it could be (again depending on your exact work location). We work off Chinatown so for him its hell getting back home. Oh and he also mentioned there was no flooding when Harvey hit in his area. Hope this helps!
Your recent posts over the past month are so inspiring that junior decided to change his avi and begin copying you again.
Romeo's off of 90th near the Bag N' Save wasn't good enough? I lived there for nine years or so after undergrad.
That area wouldn't be too great if you're single. I would recommend the i10 and beltway 8 area (City Center).. 15 minutes max to get to work. You wouldn't be too far from the Galleria, Heights, DT, Midtown
