OMG! I can't believe I forgot Hoosiers. I watch it at least three times a year. Once before BB season starts once around New Year's and once during March Madness.

Movies (only because they are on TV every time I flip the remote)

Godfather - Spike TV and AE run marathons of this and there is no escape. Watch it for more than 10 seconds and you can't change the channel no matter how many times you've seen it before.

LOTR - TNT was showing it a few days a ago and I couldn't resist even though I have the DVD collection sitting on the shelf.

Bond movies - This has to be the greatest schedule killer. You sit down to watch one of them and 5 hours later you are still there. I tend to avoid Bond marathon like the plague.

Not really. If it were, I would have included Casshern, all three Lord of the Rings Movies, V for Vendetta, The Power of One, The Princess Bride, Berserk, and Groundhog Day.

I love those just as much as I do the ones I originally listed... I just wouldn't want to watch them twice in the same day.

Can't argue with that. Just got it for Christmas, and it is still as powerful and captivating now as it was the first time I saw it six years ago.

Yeah, I've definitely gotta reiterate the Band of Brothers love yet again, with everyone else. To me, it beats the hell out of any other WWII drama ever created... heck, ANY war movie ever created.

OK, kiddies. Has anyone gone beyond the 1980s on any of these? For those of us before Raiders of the Lost Ark and Seinfeld, here goes:

    TV Shows:

The Rockford Files is the greatest TV show ever for a show that you can watch over and over again. Writing was great- David Chase was one of the 3 main writers from seasons 3 through 6, and many of the themes used in The Sopranos were used originally in this show. Plus, the plots are easy to follow at first, but complex underneath. Rockford, Angel, Rocky, and Becker- best ensemble cast ever. OK, enough of that.

    All In The Family
    The Twilight Zone
Sex and the City (yes, guys find this hilarious, too)
    Chico and the Man
    Good Times
    The X Files
    Alfred Hitchcock Presents
    I Love Lucy
    Hawaii Five-O
    The Wire

    Movies:

    Taxi Driver
    McCabe and Mrs. Miller
    Night of the Hunter
    Lost In America
    JFK
    Apocalypse Now
    Vertigo
    Midnight Cowboy
    Titanic
    Stripes

So, do you stay up till 3 AM every night to watch it on SpikeTV like I do? ...perhaps not. I've watch the entire series probably 7 times... currently going for my 8th.

Star Trek: Voyager isn't bad either. Going for my 4th time watching the entire series.

    SpikeTV is greatness.

I would, if I didn't have the whole series on DVD. God bless pirated Chinese copies off of eBay for a fraction of the price.

Voyager is alright, and Next Generation is pretty good. But neither touches DS9 as far as I'm concerned.

You have to admit, Voyager would be nothing without The Doctor. Their characters/actors are pretty weak in general outside of Robert Picardo. Isn't it sad that a hologram has so much more personality than everyone else? Seriously, who else on that show is interesting enough to carry an episode? Occasionally 7 of 9, occasionally Kes. Janeway is terrible, Chakotay is terrible. Paris is terrible. Kim is meh. Tuvok's alright. Then you look at DS9... that show has bit actors that are more interesting than most of the Voyager cast (*cough* GARAK *cough* DUKAT *cough*). Let alone the mainstays like Sisko, Kira, Odo, Quark, Wharf, O'Brien... Jadzia should be more compelling than she is, but Ezri is pretty sweet. Bashir is just kinda there... but I guess every show needs at least one blah character.

    God I'm a nerd.

I rank DS9 above Next Generation. There are some Next Gen episodes I watch again and again, but DS9, I'd watch any remember the story arcs. It's a toss up between that and Babylon 5. Big sci-fi nerd here...

Garak is my favorite character. Bashir balanced him out. Quark is either hilarious or annoying. O'Brien is probably the most bland. I liked Weyoun better than Dukat. I could go on and on about that show.

I'd watch the first 2 seasons Dexter again.

    As for movies:
    Batman Begins
    Matrix

Agree that Garak is friggin' awesome, and Weyoun always cracked me up to no end (in a good way... he played his role so well). And neither of us has even mention Kai Wynn yet... she's brilliant. No one can deny she's a great villain. You love to hate her.

O'Brien though... to me he's the only really successful "everyman" character Star Trek has had. He's not flashy like the other characters... he manages to be minimalist without being painfully boring (Tom Paris, Chakotay...). He always impressed me as an actor.

Bashir is the character I always felt like was struggling to find an identity, and I recall in an interview with Siddig that he said the writers didn't even know themselves what his character was going to be like for the first few episodes. Dax seems to have similar issues with being a bit bland/inconsistent, but I suppose she has a built-in excuse for being inconsistent, seeing as she's what, 8 people in one?

Yeah, that Kai Wynn just burns me up... They hit paydirt with Nurse Ratchet. The episodes I remember O'Brien the most were when he got captured or imprisoned. He kind of faded in the background later on. Dax was Dax. All she needed were her pretty blue eyes and a smile, but I later realized how weak her character was when the writers didn't try that hard with Ezri.

There's an ungodly amount of episodes where I wished Paris would spontaneously combust or have some untimely shuttlecraft accident. I didn't even notice Chuckles was around for most of the seasons unless he had some animals to talk to. Neelix... he was like a muppet reject the crew felt too guilty to abandon. What was his role on the ship?? Being stranded in deep space must've made Janeway crazy.

Voyager was the beginning of the end for the franchise. Seven and the Doctor were pretty interesting, but I felt like being a Trek geek hostage after DS9 was canceled.
