Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back - although I think they should have left the hooker scene in the movie. At least it is on the DVD.
Nothing But Trouble - a loaded cast of Chevy Chase, Demi Moore, John Candy and Dan Akroyd, plus an appearance by Digital Underground (featuring 2Pac) and Daniel Baldwin. You can't beat it!
Both classic examples of the evil of sequels. Revenge of the Nerds II was OK, but the third and fourth ones were horrible. Weekend at Bernie's 2 was beyond horrible! There were about three people in the theater when I saw that one...
I liked this movie to, it could have been really great if Shayamalan would have taken out some of the giant holes in the plot (which wouldn't have been that difficult to do) I still liked it a lot though. Some others: Akira, Top Secret, Final Fantasy, 2010 (I think its better than 2001).
Locking aliens in kitchen pantry? Why not use the clothes hamper? Come on, that movie was horrible! I barely could watch the whole thing. People only like it because it was "affirming".
That's the kind of plot hole i'm talking about, they are capable of interstellar travel and they can’t get out of a kitchen. And the water killing them idea - change it to salt water and then it's plausible, I don’t see how a director could over look these simple things. The way the invasion started, the suspense, the coincidences (Shayamalan’s trademark), and the reactions of everyone around the world was what I enjoyed.
Shayamalan's appearance in the movie was the best part to me. His delivery of the last line, where he reveals that he locked one of the aliens in his pantry was perfect.
I liked Signs too, but what was all the star and moon shaped cut outs on the doors and windows at the end all about?
