Oh, dude. Forgot that one. When he meets his family and his Grandmother grabs his hand, I get a lump in my throat the size of a FOOTBALL.
holy crap, no kidding. ok...i'm ready to be made fun of. Mrs. Doubtfire. the scene in the courtroom where the judge orders he can see his kids once a month. tears me up everytime.
Debbie Does Dallas...Anything with Tia Carrerra brings a tear to my eye... Seriously, I remember Steel Magnolias did when Julia Roberts died...I'm sure there are others...
Mr. Smith goes to Washington. I didn't cry the first time through, but the second time through when I knew what was going to happen, I teared up pretty hard when they started bringing in the stacks of letters.
Independance day, not when everyone died, but when the drunk pappy sacrificed himself and said goodbye to his kids. It was sad on two completely different levels.
I've never cried. But the following movies have made me tear up: Green Mile Titanic Sweet November Hardball (when G-baby gets shot)
Only one and no it isn't Old Yeller. Field of Dreams (OK so I have issues with baseaball and my father)
Old Yeller, definately. I remember that clearly, it was so sad. There are others, but nothing else really jumps to mind right away like that. They must have not been important.
What a timely thread. I just saw the documentary "Do You Believe in Miracles? The Story of the 1980 US Hockey Team" for about the 20th time the other day. Man, oh man. That shot of Jim Craig skating along the boards looking for his dad after the win over the Soviets where you can see him mouthing the words, "Wheah's my fahthah?" Killer. The celebration, Eruzione pulling all his teammates up on the podium after the playing of the Anthem, watching 40-year old guys recounting it, especially GM Craig Patrick trying to keep it together when he says, "Those guys deserved it." It's getting a little dusty in here, right now.
i saw the notebook with my wife because i owed her a movie after seeing like 3 will ferrell movies without complaint. that movie made me cry. the only others to tear me up: Brian's Song Cinderella Man Schindler's List and any old nba films feature on the back to back rockets championships or hakeem olajuwon
Brians Song was a real tear jerker. When Billy D accepts the award and dedicates it to Piccolo I cried.
No shame in your game. I cried maybe the second time I saw that. When the music starts, and you even see Sally Field feeling bad for him, I shed a Mexican tear.
