The ones I try to watch when they are on are:

    A Charlie Brown Christmas
The Year Without a Santa Claus
    Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
    Rudolph's Shiny New Year
Santa Claus Is Coming to Town
    A Christmas Story
    It's a Wonderful Life

I don't know why but I always loved those Rankin Bass stopmotion animation specials.

This is, by far, my favorite.

A Charlie Brown Christmas. Although it's really a horrible story- all of the kids rag on Charlie Brown until the end when they decide to spontaniously decorate his crappy tree for no apparent reason - it's just something I've watched since I was a kid.

A Christmas Story. Who doesn't love this flick? Bumpasses!!!

In this instance, it appears that my tastes actually align with others

    Christmas Vacation
    Scrooged
    Christmas Story

are tops on the list, along with the standards already mentioned

As a side note, sometimes it is hard to keep up with when these things are coming on, so if you know when they are being broadcast, post here so we don tmiss a chance to catch them.

Good idea - I know that most of the Rankin Bass stuff (with the obvious exception of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer) is shown on the ABC Family Channel.

Most of the kids shows have already been broadcast.. but may air again on cable (abc family). I think CBS may still have a CB special to air.

I will have to go find A Christmas Story then, and most likely will buy it if I find it based on all the suggestions.

One I forgot to add to the recents:

The Grinch - w/Jim Carrey - haven't seen it yet this season, but my kids have watched it.

Dr. Seuss' The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (animated)
    Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
    Fitzwilly
    Robbie the Reindeer

I got Christmas with the Kranks this year...I kinda like the idea of boycotting everything one year and going on a cruise. But there's no way I could live without my tree!

ARE YOU KIDDING?! It's a classic. Once you watch it, you'll watch it every year.

Why else does TBS run a 24hr marathon of it?! CAUSE IT'S GOOD & FUNNY!
