I own Sleepy Hollow, but From Hell was just too much for me. Burton can be overly gross at times and brilliant at other times.

I don't know if From Hell was Burton... I'm thinking not.

edit: and I'm correct it was The Hughes Brothers

I loved the first one..just wonder how Johnny Depp is going to be in it and if they are going to make him a bit an eccentric like the original or are they going a different route with the movie...

Okay, all y'all liked Sleepy Hollow.

I guess it's just me, but I could just tell how it was going to end. ;)

i was going to say the same thing. i remember about two years ago he was begging for the role of willy wonka. i think with him and tim burton they could have really make a more dark and sinister version. plus he can sing...kind of.

i guess depp has a bit more mainstream appeal though.

as far as tim burton goes, big fish was great, but if he does something as awful as planet of the apes again he might loose my favorite director status.

I'm sure Depp will do alright, but I thought Michael Keaton woulda made a much better wonka.

As for sleepy hollow ... I thought it started out great, but like many movies, it fell flat towards the end.

It's going to be so absolutely different because the little touches they added in the first film (oompa loompa doopity doo I've got another puzzle for you/oompa loompa doopity dee if you are wise you will listen to me, or whatever) can't be thrown into the new one, lest it have no signature of its own.

I saw "Alfie" this weekend (money I'd love to have back; what a depressing-ass movie) and thought, Another pointless remake.

Please let them not screw this remake up.

Man, does Burton every recycle. This is another film he is working on...same screen writer plus Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Christopher Lee who are all in Wonka.
