...2002 may very well be the best movie year ever!

    Yes, I'm excited.

I spent my $5 to see Super Troopers this afternoon. I thought it was pretty funny. Certainly a nice diversion with some laugh out loud moments, but not funny enough to fall into "must see" category, in my opinion.

    But it was pretty funny.

Jack Ryan was supposed to be younger than Ford. Clancy actually objected to allowing any more Ford-Ryan performances in any other movies based upon his characters... He refused to give anyone the rights unless he could pick the actor to play that character. Personally, I thought Alec Baldwin matched the character well. But he's getting old...

mrpaige - The book was Executive Orders, I believe.

The Sum of All Fears was his best one ever - are they really making a movie on that? This might not be the best climate for that topic... although maybe it's the perfect climate, depending on how you look at it.

Surprise, surprise, I like Tom Clancy's books...

I'm more interested in the Matrix sequel. And prequel?

the picture I got of Jack Ryan was always someone in his late thirties or early forties...hell, he becomes president in executive orders!!! but even still...ben affleck??? come on!!! that really hurts the series to me

I don't know about that. A direct copy of Goblin's costume would look kinda goofy. Some comic things just don't translate well to the big screen...

Also, saw the Blade 2 preview in front of John Q (pretty good) today....looks great.

Damn. That pisses me off. I hate Ben Afleck, and I really like Harrison Ford. I will NOT be watching the new Clancy movie.
