There is an outlet for it to tie into the MCU thru Thor, but it will likely just be apart of the Spiderverse. I think it looks pretty interesting the more I've learned about it.
I'm not familiar with that person (or any of these people with opinions for that matter), does she have a credible opinion? I hate leaning on the opinions of critics cause at times they can be biased either for or against the films, actors, directors, etc. I do my best to form my own opinion of movies once I've seen them.
Not a ringing endorsement when Hardy says the best parts of the movie were cut out. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/films/2018/10/01/tom-hardy-favourite-40-minutes-venom-cut-film/
I feel u, I try to do the same...no idea who she is, but if what she’s saying is accurate then tbh, I’m not all that excited for this movie and will probably catch it when it comes out on Redbox...maybe it will be a pleasant surprise
Yeah, that's the kiss of death. When people are already doing damage control about the good s**t being left out.
That's understandable... but can he complain if HE was quoted for saying that his goal was to make a movie his kid could watch? It's a serious question. If he wants his son to watch, I'm assuming he's under 13, then doesn't that mean it has to be rated PG-13? I feel like this is just a perfect storm; Hardy, Marvel/Sony, Rating, etc. to be made into another Sony sh** film.
CSI Caruso "YEEEEEEAAAAHHHHH!" goes here. I'll still likely see it in theaters as I was a fan back in the very early 90s. My parents still have my Wizard #9 with Venom gracing the cover in a prolypropylene (sp?) bag somewhere in storage. That cover was the ish. Looks like it's going the route of 2004's Punisher by score and that one was somewhat, not exactly a poopshow. We'll see. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I knew this movie would suck. Just let Marvel make the damn movies, my gosh. You got your Spiderman game, do you really need to keep ****ing these characters up?
I did see some folk on Twitter saying that this movie felt like it was from ~15 years ago. As in, back then it would have been OK, but superhero movies have progressed since then so now this movie doesn't feel like it's working. Haven't seen it yet. The last trailer is what turned me off to it more than anything - just looked bad. I will definitely watch it someday when it's free to stream.
It does kinda have the Spawn feel to it and I can't help but to think of Candyman whenever Venom speaks. But yeah... I'm wondering if this would have been better, as someone mentioned, as a straight up horror flick (or maybe I'm mixing up what someone said about the New Mutants movie... I dunno). Yep. That's it.
