This was really really good. Maybe more to me because I flew 89k miles last year, but I think anyone would enjoy it. Vera Farmiga was great and pretty much stole the show. She should win many awards for supporting actress in this one... I won't say much else, but they also used people from real life (not actors) who were fired in 2009. Clooney's job in this movie was to fly all over the place and fire people. Many clever things thrown into this movie especially with the recession and corporate world, and for the few of us on this bbs who are actual adults, we can all probably relate to them. I recommend paying the $8 to see this at the theater. A+ movie
This was one that really suprised me. The plot was decently prepared and it has a mix of humor in it as well. It was one of the better movies of the year.
What do you mean? I'd say 70% of the people on this bbs are either still in high school or college, so they haven't entered the real working world yet, and if they haven't, then this movie won't mean much to them. They aren't adults yet.
Yes, there have been multiple polls. And you don't need a poll, you just need some common sense, read some posts in the hangout, check out the GARM and you'll realize that we have a younger crowd here. It's not a big deal, but its reality and I don't recommend this movie to them, that's all. Let's get back to talking about the movie please.
i think even college-aged people would enjoy this movie. it is from the guy who did thank you for smoking and juno so the comedy is similar if you liked those movies. i thought this movie was worth seeing.
I asked a question and got no answer! Was it better than Men Who Stare at Goats? Here are some of his last movies that I've seen: Goats: Terrible Burn after reading: awful leatherheads: bad michael clayton: sucky oceans 13: wanted to kill myself syriana: not bad, not great oceans 12: sucked, but not as bad as 13 The only somewhat recent movies of his that were actually decent were O Brother Where art thou and oceans 11. Other than that, he hasnt put out 1 watchable movie.
I work as a litigation/financial consultant and often travel for long periods of time for work. Really liked this movie.
after that shot of her wearing the tie early on, i had trouble concentrating on the rest of the movie.
After I posted that, I realized I was thinking about burn after reading again, i never saw clayton... burn after reading was so bad that i considered it twice.
liar... you're either in high school or college so there is no way you could be consultant nor could you like/relate to this movie.
